The Early season hatches of the Pale Evening Dun bring on some exciting action. They hatch in the calmer waters and the hatch usually occurs for about an hour or two in the afternoon. Cloudy or overcast weather will extend the hatch noticeably. The Eastern Pale Evening duns have wings that dry very fast and as a result they do not stay on the water very long.
